I wore these recently for a half marathon and enjoyed them overall. The length is great and prevents the shorts from riding up on my fairly muscular thighs (a common a problem for me with compression shorts.) The waistband hits lower than what I like, but since they stay in place I can deal with that. The pocket fits a couple of energy gels so I put it to good use. I am 5'5" and 120lbs and the small fits just right.

I've been wearing this short and its update for at least 6 years. This year, the dropped waist and rear zip pocket were a total disappointment. As a distance runner who wears a hydration belt, having the band on the short sit low makes this short very impractical. I work at a running store and coach a running group. I have had several women either return the new short, or not buy them at all because they don't fit they way they used to. Also, the fabric has gotten very heavy and running in the DC heat and humidity for 20+ miles is bad enough without wearing a short that is so thick. Any chance you have a few pair of the old model in a Large, that you'd be willing to sell me?

Comments about Moving Comfort 7.5" Compression Short:
The shorts do not ride up at all. I have fairly thick thighs so that was surprising. I wouldn't get any shorter than these personally. I though they might fit lower to the knee but they really fit in the middle of the thigh. One negative is the band. I like compression pants that are a little higher in the waist. I have a pretty flat stomach but have had three kids and have a little skin when I bend over. Would like more protection from that. If you have a belly I would not recommend these because then you will probably have a muffin top. Lol

Comments about Moving Comfort 7.5" Compression Short:
The design of these shorts is odd ... they're slung too low to be practical and though I usually take a size large, even the XL in these didn't fit. The 7.5 inch length was good though. I'd love to find a good quality compression short that was 7.5 - 8" long, in a fabric that felt more like a wicking cotton, with a just below the belly button rise. These were so low I felt confident they wouldn't stay up.

Comments about Moving Comfort 7.5" Compression Short:
I was seeking to replace some 9" inseam compression shorts. I work out regularly but have heavy thighs, so I wanted shorts with a longer inseam. I found tHe 7.5" inseam a bit short. 7" inseams are a dime a dozen, as are 11" capris. MC would position itself well to do a 8.5-9 short. The very very low rise is not comfortable and the lack of a drawstring at the waist makes the fit problematic. Hope MC will redesign the fit 'cuz the shorts would then be great for more body types AND something that is hard to find.
